A Thorough Candidacy Assessment

Not everyone is a suitable candidate for LASIK — and it's our job to tell you honestly. Our pre-LASIK workup uses advanced corneal mapping and biometric analysis to determine whether laser correction is safe, effective, and the right choice for your eyes.

Corneal Topography
High-resolution mapping of your corneal shape to detect keratoconus or irregular astigmatism that could rule out LASIK.
Pachymetry (Corneal Thickness)
Ultrasonic measurement to confirm you have adequate corneal tissue for safe ablation.
Wavefront Aberrometry
Identifies higher-order optical imperfections for customised (wavefront-guided) laser treatment.
Pupil Size Mapping
Measures scotopic pupil diameter to assess night-vision halos and glare risk post-surgery.
Dry Eye Pre-screening
Dry eye must be identified and treated before LASIK to prevent post-operative complications.
Surgeon Referral & Liaison
We work directly with Ahmedabad's leading refractive surgeons and coordinate your full surgical pathway.

Types of Laser Eye Surgery We Consult For

Multiple laser and lens-based procedures are available — we guide you to the right one for your prescription and corneal profile.

LASIK

A thin flap is created on the cornea and a laser reshapes the underlying tissue. Fast recovery, minimal discomfort — the most popular refractive procedure worldwide.

SMILE (Small Incision)

Flapless procedure with a tiny keyhole incision — reduced risk of dry eye compared to LASIK, ideal for those with borderline dry eye or active lifestyles.

PRK / LASEK / TransPRK

Surface ablation — no flap created. Longer recovery but suitable for thinner corneas or patients with higher-risk occupations.

ICL (Implantable Lens)

A phakic intraocular lens is implanted in front of the natural lens — best for high prescriptions or thin corneas where laser is not suitable.

RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange)

Natural lens replaced with a premium multifocal IOL — combines cataract prevention with spectacle independence, ideal for patients over 45.

Post-LASIK Care

Scheduled follow-up exams at day 1, week 1, month 1, and month 3 to monitor healing and visual outcomes after surgery.

General LASIK Eligibility Criteria

These are general guidelines — your suitability is determined only after your full assessment.

✓ Typically Suitable

Age 18 or older (prescription stable for 12+ months)
Myopia up to -10.00D, hyperopia up to +4.00D, astigmatism up to ±5.00D
Adequate corneal thickness (typically 500µm+)
No keratoconus or irregular corneal topography
No significant dry eye or systemic autoimmune conditions

✗ May Not Be Suitable for LASIK

Keratoconus or corneal ectasia (ICL or cross-linking may be alternatives)
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune disease
Very thin corneas or very high prescriptions (ICL may be better)
Pupils larger than 7mm in dim light (increased night vision risk)
